Wispastats is built to make hidden contributions visible. It gives coaches a clearer picture of what is really happening during a game, not just the obvious stats.
The aim is not to create pressure or compare to young players. The aim is to support better coaching, better feedback and stronger inclusion. For us, inclusion means helping every player feel seen, valued and part of the team. When coaches have a clearer picture, they can have better conversations, give more balanced feedback, and support players before they lose confidence or drift away.
Wispastats is about helping coaches develop every player. When players feel noticed, included and supported, they are more likely to stay confident, keep improving and keep playing. This is where the idea for Wispastats began, because at present, the tools we are using to assess players and the flow of the game are inadequate. Coaches need a tool that is simple, quick and practical and this is what Wispastats provide.
Wispastats began when we started considering whether voice activation could make live statistics capture easier. Instead of relying on clipboards or trying to remember everything after the game, what if coaches could allocate a “statistics recorder” (which could be an assistant, parent, club official, etc.) that could simply speak what was happening and view a clearer picture in real time? Wispastats is about turning sporting frustrations into a practical solution for coaches.
It started with a simple belief that coaches need easy to use tools that help develop the whole team as every player deserves to develop their skills in the game.
