Greg has an affinity for sports & statistics. Whilst at University him and his professor worked with the Geelong Football Club to video games and combine with manual statistics capture. Post game video and statistics was merged (based on timestamp) to create player highlights. However, the introduction for Aussie Rules TV rights removed the ability to video games moving forward
Greg began his career in 1994 as a programmer with Telstra. Greg had exposure to various products including Mobile and BigPond internet. He enjoyed crafting solutions and designing new systems and moved into other key roles in the Software Development Lifecycle. Extending his Telco experience in the UK enabled him to:
- Design and develop 3 of the 15 launch products for 3 Mobile
- Help Vodafone deliver a Content Data Warehouse across 12 Countries
Upon return from UK, he focused on consulting across multiple industries such as Telco & Technology, Banking, Insurance. Product Management was a key skill and hence how he (and his wife Cecille) co-founded Plezzel a digital platform for Real Estate Agents.
Plezzel included an open home mobile app plus deep integration with Real Estate Portals, Real Estate CRMs, social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and Google. Greg & Cecille (and investors) exited the business through acquisition by CoreLogic (now known as Cotality) in 2022.
With a love of sport (particularly Aussie Rules) Greg enjoys playing Tennis, attending the gym regularly, going fishing and assisting as a volunteer at both the local football and tennis clubs.
