Chris is a former AFL and SANFL footballer, long-time coach, and experienced sports leader who has spent more than 20 years helping athletes develop across every stage of the game — from their first junior sessions through to senior competition.
His passion for player development began early, during his time coaching in the Auskick/Care for Kids program while he was playing in the AFL. Seeing young players build confidence, learn new skills, and fall in love with the game showed him just how powerful early sporting experiences can be. For Chris, junior sport has never been only about finding the best players. It is about helping every type of player — the naturally talented, the late developer, the quiet kid, the less confident athlete, and the player who simply needs encouragement to stay involved.
Chris believes one of the greatest challenges in community sport is keeping young people engaged and reducing dropout. He has seen first-hand how important it is for players to feel noticed, supported, and valued, regardless of their ability level. His coaching philosophy is built around creating positive environments where athletes can improve, enjoy the game, and remain connected to sport for as long as possible.
Coaching has always been at the heart of Chris’s career. Over many years, he has seen how clear communication, simple tools, and supportive systems can improve not only player development, but also the confidence and capability of coaches. Whether working with new coaches or experienced ones, Chris understands that better support leads to better outcomes for players.
Alongside his coaching background, Chris has spent 25 years in national and state sales leadership roles, where strong communication, relationship-building, and practical systems are essential. By bringing together his experience in sport, coaching, leadership, and business, Chris set out to create a smarter and simpler solution to help coaches capture meaningful stats, engage athletes, and support better development at every level of the game.
Chris is also a devoted family man, with an incredible wife and two sport-obsessed boys who keep life fun, busy, and full of energy. He coaches his boys in Aussie Rules and cricket, and when he is not on the sidelines, he is usually surfing, playing golf, or enjoying tennis.
